RUNWAY: Vivienne Westwood SS12

The Queen of British fashion continues her rule with her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which celebrated the Summer Olympics that will be held in London in 2012. The opening looks were a blaring reminder, with slouchy shorts and a torch tee. However, in the looks that follow, we are shown why Westwood continues to be one of the most innovative and influential designers around, with 1800s bespoke inspired suits and a collection of sportswear pieces whose social commentary is so point it is surprising that Westwood is nearly double the age of some of Milan's other designers.
