RUNWAY: GustavoLins SS12

Gustavo Lins featured highlighter yellow predominantly in his latest collection for SS12 and the brightness of the yellow offset the darker tones of the collection. It would be a reach to call it "goth", it definitely had hints of goth culture from the cut and fit of the first collection to the heavily eye-liner-ed models. Though there were also Asian influences, as can be seen from the shirt necks on some of the pieces, especially Julien Chanca's final look. When mixed together the highlighter yellow, goth and Asian-influences resulted in a collection that felt a bit disjointed from Lins' usually offerings.
