RUNWAY: Robert Geller FW11
The Rock n' Roll stylings of
Robert Geller were alive and well for his Fall/Winter 2011 show. The models had their hair flat ironed and covering their foreheads while their clothes were sleek, with an emphasis on a thin waist. The modern fabrics were shown in shades of grey and olive and, of course, black. To keep warm for in the wintery months, there were large drape-y scarves that doubled as headwraps; there were also tons of leather from dual-fabric blazers to leather jackets. Overall, the collection showed that Rock n' Roll inspired clothes don't have to be overly flashy or garish to make a statement; how apropos since The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angeles in two days and there are sure to be multitude of artists who will no doubt show up looking quite flashy and garish.
