RUNWAY: Trussardi 1911 FW11

Trussardi celebrated its 100th anniversary by showing a 37-look collection that paid homage to their beginnings as a glover. As an added coup, the collection was also the main event at Florence's Pitti Uomo trade show. The collection was overflowing with leather, from a litany of leather pants to leather parkas and even a leather caftan. But Milan Vukmirovic know how to edit and the collection struck the correct balance of hard and soft. The large amount of leatherwear was offset by suedes, shearling and other luxe non-leather fabrics that afforded the overall collection a fresh take while still being consistent with the collection.
