RUNWAY: 3.1 Phillip Lim FW11
This is
Phillip Lim's first show in Paris, after moving his collection from New York Fashion Week's schedule. He chose a presentation in lieu of a runway show and showed that a change of venue or city doesn't change ones aesthetic. The clothes were par for the course and not terribly innovative but at the price points he sets for his clothes, maybe that's enough? We were hoping for a giant leap of creativity like the one
Thom Browne had when he moved his menswear to Paris last season. There were some covetable pieces, mainly the outerwear which were stark and military inspired, a big trend in both Milan and Paris.
