RUNWAY: Versace FW15

Donatella Versace's latest collection for her family's label was strong and powerful, full of powersuits in silky fabrics and a hint of shine, the very thesis of the Versace label. Aside from the broad shouldered suits and slinky trousers, there was a plethora of fur, from oversized military coats, with leather lapels, to a luxurious rabbit hair lined hoodie. Meanwhile, skintight bottoms were lounge-y and oft times paired with sumptuous knits while eveningwear showcased bold filigree. In all, the collection felt more modern and of-the-times, looking forward instead of looking too much on the past and the archives.
