RUNWAY: Salvatore Ferragamo FW13

Salvatore Ferragamo's Massimiliano Giornetti looked to the future as inspiration for Fall/Winter 2013 and why not? The Italian house now has shareholders outside of the family to appease. Since debuting on the stock market, Ferragamo has seen a huge influx of cash to help fund various ventures from fabric research and better sourcing of its fabrics, as well as more stores around the globe. Since their IPO, you can see the uptick in luxurious leathers and ultra-luxe details like high pile fur accents. For FW13, the futuristic theme was interpreted with strong collars and cropped leather pants. The color choices and styling was top notch, we especially love all the midnight blue hues that conveyed such a rich, mysterious and sexy feel.
