RUNWAY: Burberry Prorsum FW12
Christopher Bailey made it rain once again on the
Burberry Prorsum runway. Though the effect is quite repetitive season-after-season, it is fitting for the quintessential British brand. No other designer or house is as much of an anglophile as Bailey and Burberry. Their campaigns only feature British models, actors, or singers and their collections are undoubtedly tailored for the Brits. Fall/Winter 2012 was no exception, from the first look we were in for another well made, well executed collection from Bailey. The highlight of the London-in-the-1960s inspired collection were the cropped bomber jackets that walked down the runway towards the end, a new silhouette that Bailey introduced for the upcoming Fall/Winter season. Also worth noting was the sea of velvet suits at the end that hinted an era of opulence and maybe even royalty.
