RUNWAY: Maison Martin Margiela SS12

Martin Margiela left his namesake house sometime between 2009 and 2010. The uber-secretive and press-shy Margiela made a name for himself with his high-concept fashions. For the Maison's Spring/Summer 2012 collection, the concept was far more straightforward than what we were used to seeing when Margiela himself was in charge. Nevertheless, the collection offered easy and relaxed clothes with the same craftsmanship and luxury fabrics one expects from Margiela, like fine-gauge cottons, cashmeres, and wools.
