RUNWAY: Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture FW18

Jean Paul Gaultier shuttered his men's line a few years ago and has since concentrated mostly on his highly lucrative fragrance empire and in terms of fashion, he stuck mostly with haute couture. But for his FW18 couture collection, menswear came back into focus with a collection that is deeply rooted in tailoring and of sex, of course. The former showed itself in the sharply cut suits with strong Northern African influences while bare nippled models closed the show and others were opening "smoking", as if post-coitus. Does this mean that Gaultier, and by extension the label's corporate owner Puig, will jump back into menswear? Probably not but what a treat this was.
