RUNWAY: Versus Versace FW18

The first new looks at Versus Versace's FW18 presentation were a bit of an eye-sore, with black and white checkerboard patterns offering dizzying effects. As the collection wore on, the tropical fronds, and multi-colored leopard print made for a more amenable collection for younger buyers who want to buy into the Versace dream of excess and luxury but without the sky-high prices. As the Italian house continues to grow under Donatella Versace and with renewed interest in the Versace heritage with a mini-series centered on the founding designer's murder, the Versace name is once again near the top of the apex of fashion.
