RUNWAY: Pyer Moss FW18

The contribution of African Americans throughout the country's history is too often glossed over or said in passing, like an after thought. Not at Pyer Moss. The label's designer Kerby Jean-Raymond was inspired by Bill Pickens, a black cowboy from the 19th Century. That explains the heavy use of denim and the cowboy vibes throughout the collection, including the requisite wide-brimmed hat, while a star-filled lining of a parka brought additional patriotism to the collection as well.. The finale debuted a collaboration between Pyer Moss and Reebok.
