RUNWAY: Perry Ellis FW18

Like many other labels, the Perry Ellis label looked to the 90s for inspiration for its latest collection. Though there were no signs of Marc Jacobs' infamous Grunge collection here, instead the collection was full of mixed patterns, branding and a huge dose of nostalgia. Though some pieces looked out of place, like a knit with a mountainscape weave. In the end, the collection seemed to be trying to be everything at once, downtown cool, corporate business attire and hipster and the cohesion of the collection suffered for it.
