RUNWAY: Neil Barrett FW18

Neil Barrett's take on sportswear has made him one of the most influential designers in Milan's shrinking talent pool. For FW18, the British-born designer create a luscious collection that looked as polished as his previous iterations but more elegant and grown up. It's as if the man who created lightning bolt motifs on neoprene sweaters was in a mood to become sophisticated. This taciturn collection could be one off but Barrett makes a good case for himself for a bigger role in the future, akin to the trajectory of Raf Simons' career.
