RUNWAY: Yohji Yamamoto SS18

Yohji Yamamoto's latest collection started with a strong showing of leather jackets in bright colors, a change from his more subdued black-on-black looks. The collection evolved from that hard, masculine aesthetic to softer, more traditional Yamamoto looks, complemented by visages of women and scrolls of writing attached to the clothes. The faces of the women grew from beautiful and pure to downright scary, resembling the woman who came out of the TV in The Ring.
