RUNWAY: Kiko Kostadinov SS18

Kiko Kostadinov, now the designer for Mackintosh, the company known for their water-resistant outerwear, offered a dark and sinister Spring/Summer 2018 collection for his namesake label. The designer said the collection was a reaction to evil being entertainment and it could be in reference to a myriad of things - the popularity of dystopic shows The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones to politics. Here, the tailoring was austere and severe, with models wearing masks over their heads, as if trying to conceal the malicious acts they're about to enact on society.
