RUNWAY: Mihara Yasuhiro SS17
Almost everything was slightly askew at
Mihara Hasuhiro's Spring/Summe 2017 show, with models walking up a bowling lane in an homage to Americana. Plaid shirts, oversized, ripped apart and put back together, was a big notion from the Japanese designer. Meanwhile, cowboy references and blue collar worker uniforms were also seen, as were oversized zippers on many of the items which looked comical, youthful and instantly covetable. The haphazard styling and DIY-esque nature of the clothes seemed less of an homage by the end.
