RUNWAY: Prada FW16

What could Ms. Prada be saying in her Fall/Winter 2016 collection? Was it about sex? Consent? Passion? It's really anyone's guess. The disheveled layers hinted at either throes of passion or an unconsented romp. Sailors hats nodded to the idea of passion: after months at sea, these sailors come to shore looking for sow their seed. There were other hints at passion and epic battles, like those seen on the boxy shirts many of the models wore. As for the clothes themselves, they were dark and brooding, with plenty of skin showing, an interesting turn of events for Prada. The outerwear was very good, some military inspired, some more dramatic like the capes that are sure to be on many a man (and woman's) wishlist next season. By the end of the show, both men and women (not shown) had collars ripped apart and shirts were open. Was it time for a cigarette or a call to the police?
