RUNWAY: No. 21 FW16
Alessandro Dell'Acqua's latest collection
No. 21 was an exploration of gender. Masculinity was not so much threatened here instead it was accented by soft touches of traditionally feminine fabrics like lace, boucle, and crepe de chine. The result, mixed with some military and utilitarian references, was quite good. The drab olives and military-esque colors brought down the collection a bit which could have used a bit more playful colors to really drill home the masculine-feminine duality of the collection.
