RUNWAY: Lanvin FW15
Alber Elbaz and men's designer
Lucas Ossendrijver continued their high-wire act of masculine and feminine tailoring for
Lanvin's FW15 collection. Boxy jackets, cigarette pants, floor-length scarves, and fur cardigans added flare and a bit of the 1970s to the collection whose somber color palette hinted at dystopic influences, full of doom and gloom. The crescendo of the collection came at the end when a series of majestic leather coats, bonded with neoprene, could make anyone wish for Lanvin's dystopic future to happen now, if it means those coats are part of it.
