RUNWAY: Coach FW15

Stuart Vevers has been at the helm at Coach for about a year now and though the American company has seen its share price fall, the expansion of the men's collection should help boost their bottom line since menswear is one of the fastest growing segments in the fashion industry; add to that this debut runway collection of exquisite separates. Vevers looked not to his native England for inspiration but to a more humble part of the world: Idaho. These men are no potato farmers, though. They walk with the spirit of River Phoenix in the iconic film My Own Private Idaho: independent spirits with a flair for adventure. Luxurious fabrics from leather to shearling (see the shoes with shearling detail) were top notch while tailoring was slim and fitted. The collection is a big win for a label that needs it.
