RUNWAY: Andrea Incontri FW15

Sport and the uniforms fused together Andrea Incontri's FW15 collection, shown in Florence during Pitti Uomo. A muted palette of neutrals from fatigue colors to eggplant and rust made the collection more serious, more formal. Military uniforms seemed to be the starting point of many of the outfits, even the tailored pieces which harkened the regalia worn by officers while sportier elements, like the oversized outerwear, were reminiscent of outfits worn by covert soldiers or those trying to go about their orders incognito. When taken in context with the overpowering idea of uniforms and the military during LCM and the real life events across the world, and within Europe especially, it's unsurprising that so many designers are turning their attention to the military and to soldiers for inspiration.
