RUNWAY: Telfar SS15

Telfar is one of the few labels whose mantra is rooted in creating unisex clothes. For his SS15 collection, basics, like denim, were created with a sense of ease and wearability, a word that sometimes comes off as an insult to some designers but to a man who wants to dress the masses, it's the highest compliment. The cult following he has achieved is due in part to his cerebral take on basics, like white tees, tank tops, and ripped jeans. A simple but precise methodology will be his greatest strength as more and more consumers realize that the gimmicks many opt for during NYFW are used to entertain, and in many cases, take attention away from banal designs.
