RUNWAY: Christian Pellizzari SS15

Christian Pellizzari is the latest Italian designer to be invited by Giorgio Armani to use his show space. Armani's initiative is to promote up and coming Italian designers in the hopes of revitalizing Milan's prominence in the fashion world, or at least to deter new designers from leaving the country and showing in New York or London. Pellizzari took this opportunity to show a soft and romantic collection that teetered the androgynous line. Open shirts, floral prints and shrunken jackets highlighted this notion while the models, all barefoot, brought home the idea that sometimes good clothes can be worn by either sex without being emasculating or defeminizing.
