RUNWAY: Neil Barrett SS15

Roman sculptures were plastered onto knits and tees at Neil Barrett's Spring/Summer 2014 runway show today and the result was a marriage of new and old, from said sculptures to Barrett's new technical fabrics. The highlight of the show were all the fabulous jackets, from quilted moto jackets to roomy overcoats. Barrett solved the issue of transitional clothing, that awkward time when a winter coat is too heavy and a shirt and pants isn't enough. Womenswear has solved this issue with between-season collections called Pre-Spring and Pre-Fall, something lacking in menswear but Neil Barrett has pretty much cornered that market with this exceptionally tailored and edited collection,
