RUNWAY: Ermenegildo Zegna SS15

Stripes is quickly becoming the story of the season for SS15, after a barrage of striped knits, jackets and pants during LCM, Stefano Pilati's latest collection for Ermenegildo Zegna had them as well, seen subtly on jackets or boldly like the lining of a coat that contrasted the stripes on the suit underneath. Other than stripes, the story at Zegna was of quirky and sporty elegance. The suits were looser and felt fresh after season after season of rigid silhouettes, the men seem to finally be able to breath with this collection. A slight retro feel was also present, as if they were from another time, see the handkerchiefs tied around the neck while light jackets tied around the waist emphasized the relaxed vibe while also showcasing Zegna's often overlooked sporty side.
