RUNWAY: Christopher Shannon SS15

As LCM comes out of its infancy, there are essentially two types of collections that were born out of this three day expo of British talent: classic British tailoring like that found at Savile Row and newer, edgier designs. Christopher Shannon is of the latter lot and for SS15, he opted for a youthful, if not emo-wrought collection of rounded shoulders, oversized proportions and DIY-style cutouts; representing the male teen who hacks away at his clothes, from the institution where his parents bought them, so that his clothes reflect who he is, rather than who his parents want him to be. It's no wonder Christopher Shannon recently won the inaugural BFA/GQ Menswear Award Fund, kudos!
