RUNWAY: Ann Demeulemeester FW14

Last Fall, Belgian designer Ann Demeulemeester unexpectedly announced she was leaving her namesake label, effective immediately. In the handwritten note, she wrote that the Fall/Winter 2014 collections for both men and women would be shown together during Paris Fashion Week and the atelier that she has presided over for years continued her gothic take on romantic clothes, with an almost all-black collection highlighting the designer's louche tailoring, mixing a low pile coat with gold pants or an astrakhan vest with cropped pants and military inspired boots.
