RUNWAY: Sacai FW14

Sacai's collection is always a pleasure as the designer, Chitose Abe, chooses quirky design details to really make the clothes stand out against the melange of black so often seen on the runway. For Fall/Winter 2014, she took staples we've seen this season, like varsity jackets and somber topcoats, and added her own spin, like silk linings, geometric patterns and grosgrain details. A sailor inspired duffle coat was also quite fetching in its masculinity.
