RUNWAY: KrisVanAssche FW13

Belgian designer Kris Van Assche chose a sportier approach when designing his latest collection, as evidenced by the opening look that had "rugged" emblazoned on it. In fact, it was a recurring theme throughout the collection, a gray band around the middle of a coat or sweater was dressed down by that same word. It was an interesting juxtaposition, especially when seen on a tailored suit jacket. Bowl cuts were preferred and added an adolescent feel to the collection that, in the end, felt more English school boy, complete with square cut jackets in the finale, than rugby star.
