RUNWAY: Jean Paul Gaultier FW13
French couturier and the original
enfant terrible had no problems putting men on display for his Fall/Winter 2013 collection.
Jean Paul Gaultier felt inspired by Amsterdam's Red Light District by displaying models in similar enclosures, as they dressed, or undressed, in Gaultier's creations. Of these designs, there was a strong emphasis on dramatic pieces with plenty of flair, like a showstopping A-line jacket with strong ruffle detail or attractive geometric patterns on a sweater. The presentation ended with some of Gaultier's favorites in various states of undress, many of whom, like
Andrej Pejic and
Tarik Lakehal, wore wool onesies.
