RUNWAY: Prada SS13
Miuccia Prada threw a few curveballs for her Spring/Summer 2013 menswear collection: no prints, no ties, and womenswear. The undoubtedly sporty collection was sleek and unadulteratedly sophisticated with the only "embellishments" being lines/trim on the trousers, tops and outerwear. Interestingly, all the looks featured the same exact pair of trousers, the only difference being the color. The trousers were boxy but not baggy or overly flowy; also boxy were the accessories the Italian design maven showed. Following FW12's strong sartorial statement and off-the-runway ready looks, this collection was subtly powerful and just as off-the-runway ready, save for the socks with sandals, which we think is still a big no.
