RUNWAY: Moncler Gamme Bleu SS13

Thom Browne's latest collection for Moncler Gamme Bleu started late but in usual Thom Browne-fashion, he had a bit of fun with the show, let alone the clothes. Before the first model came on the industrial runway, tap dancers entertained the restless crowd. When the models descended, a flurry of all-white looks were clean, crisp and surprisingly pared back. Though as the collection wore on, Browne's interesting use of proportion and fit turned playful with sweater dresses, vests fashioned after life jackets, and unusual rain gear, always a bit gimmicky, Browne's collection for the Italian outerwear brand felt more pret-a-porter than some of his previous collection for the brand.
