RUNWAY: Hardy Amies SS13

Hardy Amies' SS13 collection was based on the man himself, a man who not only served in the British military but also owned a fashion shop in London and even dressed the Windsors. The SS13 collection followed British history with a story of Amies' life as a clothier before the war, as a soldier then life after war. A looser cut was used to utilize the style of the era while modern finishings that included subtle prints were added to create interest and drama. While the more somber pieces reflected the war-time, the more flamboyant pieces celebrated the economic boom during and after war-time. In all, a strong first show in Paris from the British brand.
