RUNWAY: Hardy Amies FW16

It was off to space for Hardy Amies' Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Futurism and sartorial excellence came together for the British label's Spring/Summer 2016 collection and resulted in a play on space suits in classic menswear fabrics and chic and functional coats and jackets.

The hallowed tradition of bespoke clothing is part of Hardy Amies' heritage. The Savile Row retailer not only creates custom made suits for kings and dignitaries but also creates luxurious options for its ready to wear customers. Take this sublime collection of tailored pieces that really needs no explanation as one can see the quality and precision of the cuts even on a static image. Fur trimmed jackets and cozy sportswear were the highlights and take into consideration that "cozy" may not be the adjective one may expect to hear from a label who's very legacy is rooted in strict tailoring codes, but that is exactly what the sportswear options offer.

RUNWAY: Hardy Armies FW15

Hardy Amies' Savile Row heritage shined through during its SS15 presentation on the first first day of LCM. The looks were arguably dressier than some of the other labels we've seen thus far at LCM but the young models showed the clothes' versatility by making its wearers look sophisticated and not like they were dressing in their father's suits. Sportier looks like a sea-foam colored utility jacket paired with dark trousers were a great balance to the suiting.

Hardy Amies' FW14 collection was supremely chic in its take on Savile Row-inspired suiting with modern sensibilities, such as denim! Hardy Amies is the first British company that has showed a collection during LCM's first day with its roots at Savile Row and showed that, though sometimes stuffy, these heritage suiting labels can still wow and amaze with the right team.

CAMPAIGN: Hardy Amies FW13

Hardy Amies' heritage is intimately linked with that of Savile Row's and for SS14, the famed British clothier opted for a static prestation to better showcase the details and attention to detail their deceptively simple looking clothes offer. High atop London, the label juxtaposed classic British fabrics to create a distinctly English feel with lightweight sportswear. Tapered and cropped trousers with matched with boxier tops to create a masculine silhouette and the bold color choices were interesting and sometimes a true delight, like a crimson trench.
