RUNWAY: Dries Van Noten SS13

Leave it to Dries Van Noten to take a look that's quite superfluous in menswear and turn it into something chic, modern and with ample doses of dandy. Camouflage littered nearly every piece in the SS13 collection but unlike many other designers who've used the print previously or currently in their latest collection,  Dries offered a slim silhouette to supplement the print's usually obtrusive presence. The Belgian designer also featured transparent layers, a big trend for next season, to great effect especially when juxtaposed with camouflage's opaque qualities. Overall, a strong showing from Dries Van Noten after a somewhat lackluster FW12 collection.
