RUNWAY: Burberry Prorsum SS13
Christopher Bailey helped to propel heritage brand Burberry into one of the largest fashion houses in the world. Because of that, Burberry Prorsum, the runway collection, has the ability to create awe with its fabric research and ingenuity. That was apparent in SS13 when Bailey showcased a series of shimmery silks that looks like metallic. Though some looks hopped the fence into garish looking, the technical aspect of those pieces were a sight to behold. For the other pieces in the collection, Prorsum's infamously slim trousers were let out just a bit to create some breathing room for the legs while tops had playful prints in summer-friendly fabrics like seersucker. The coats, as usual, were splendid. Another good collection from Bailey, where "good" seems to the standard.
