RUNWAY: Pierre Balmain FW12

Since Olivier Rousteing took over the reigns at Balmain from Christophe Decarnin, the handsome French designer oversaw the creation of Balmain's lower priced lined, named after the founder: Pierre Balmain. For FW12, Ford's Adrien Sahores continues to be the face of Pierre Balmain, this time shot by Martial Schmeltz. For FW12, the fully-licensed collection featured more commercial and egalitarian pieces, which, we think, was intentional so the brand would see a strong sales season by offering familiar menswear pieces but without all the edginess that the mainline Balmain collection offers.
