RUNWAY: Michael Bastian FW12

After taking his eponymous collection off the runway and store shelves for one season, Michael Bastian re-emerge with stellar Spring/Summer 2012 collection last September that was based on James Dean. With that collection, Bastian set a vey high bar for himself. However, the New York-native reached and surpassed that bar with this stellar Fall/Winter 2012 collection full of gorgeous colors, luxurious fabrics, and sharp tailoring. His years at Ralph Lauren and Bergdorf Goodman helped prep Bastian to look for what men want before they think they want it. That's what he gives us every season. Pieces like a chestnut snap leather jacket on Bryce Thompson made all the men's mouth water for it and Vlad Ivanov's Charlie Brown sweater made the rest of us feel whimsical. Bastian designed and styled a collection that was rugged and sexy with just a touch of flamboyance.
