RUNWAY: Maison Martin Margiela FW12

Ever one to make statements, the atelier at Margiela opted for an opulent and politically charge Fall/Winter 2012 collection. For this season, the crux of the collection centered around sustainability and the mostly-negative effects humans are exacting on Earth. Bubble coats were seen with phrases such as "Please Recycle" or "Handy Bag". While the more luxurious pieces were about (fabulous excess), with a litany of fur and leather. In all, the collection was more tame for Margiela but also more wearable and sophisticated.
