RUNWAY: Alexis Mabille FW12
Alexis Mabille is a nationalist. His collections are always undoubtedly French, if not specifically, Parisian. For Fall/Winter 2012, Mabille continued the strong military influence we've seen this season with a collection that looked to the French Revolution for inspiration. Models donned lacy oxford shirts with skintight bottoms. For footwear, Mabille opted for pinpoint sharp winklepickers. Though the collection is a departure for Mabille, he made it work it, weaving his signature dandy fashion with more traditionally masculine references.
