RUNWAY: Keita Maruyama SS12

Keita Maruyama showed some great tropical inspired pieces for Spring/Summer 2012 but our favorite were the color blocked anoraks, they were akin to the ones we saw at Gucci in Milan and Dries Van Noten in Paris but gave a lighter feeling rather than the darker tones we saw at Dries Van Noten, for example. Pockets were also front and center for the menswear collection while the palm tree patterns on the bottoms added a level of kitsch that was just the right amount of irrelevance.
