RUNWAY: Robert Geller SS12
Robert Geller showed a stunning collection for Spring/Summer 2012 that had lots of mesh, beautiful shades of blue and wide brimmed hats that were sleek and sexy. Geller's inspiration for SS12 came out of his desire to dress men in a
new way; to throw some caution to the wind and be a little frumpy, seen in slouchy pieces and in fabrics that do not hold shape like linen and soft jersey. Mesh shirts fell to crotch level and were layered over shirts that were nearly-equal in length and sometimes paired over a linen jacket or coat, with a chunky stone necklace to accessorize and trousers were wide and flowy. Our favorite pieces though came at the end, which was more sophisticated and had that dazzling blue hue we keep seeing for SS12; for Robert Geller, this collection was more mature and sophisticated than his usual Rock n' Roll injected collections and we enjoy this new way of dressing from him.
