RUNWAY: G-Star FW11

The high-octane show at G-Star was matched with equally matched with loud prints and military inspired pieces, from long overcoats with metal buttons to a poncho. The urban-inspired G-Star is highly popular in the Europe but hasn't really taken hold of the US market, that's dominated by the similar brand, Diesel. But the two are quite different, G-Star's much more conceptual and adventurous with their pieces, at least in the past. For Fall/Winter 2011, Diesel has not yet shown their collection and it is yet to be determined which brand's collection is more coherent and current but G-Star is making ample efforts to gain traction against its largest rival.
