RUNWAY: Dolce&Gabbana SS15

Dolce&Gabbana's ode to the matador yielded structured jackets with great detailing and plenty of cropped pants (capris? cullotes?). Though the Spanish influences were a surprise from the Sicilian duo as they hardly ever take inspiration from anywhere but Italy; that being said, the change was welcome. Sunkissed models with shiny patted down hair donned the label's beautifully cut suits that offered a lot to its loyal fans. They added some differentiation like dropped crotches, metallic colors, and polka dots for good measure. The finale of men in bright red suits was a show of the label's prominence and imbued sexuality that nary a stretch of skin was shown but the red carpeting plus the red suits made for a sensuous ending. Conviction of tax evasion be damned!
