RUNWAY: Prada FW13
Leave it to
Miuccia Prada to buck every trend so far in the men's Fall/Winter 2013 season. The Italian designer showcased an intricate and retro backdrop to accompany the beautifully constructed, minimal collection. Big chunky soled lace-ups were worn with every outfit, of which there were plenty, with a wide range of color. Soft and rounded shoulders were
de rigueur and were complemented by classic patterns from houndstooth to plaids. It was a stark departure from last season and even larger departure from FW12's military themed, celebrity-filled show. There was nothing entirely
new about the collection, thought; rather it was an updated and better version of Prada classics, made for the modern man, with a bit of the 70s grooviness.
