Though the universally used term for pre-Spring/Summer collections is called Resort, Riccardo Tisci's latest pre-collection for men's is a stark departure from what would typically be considered 'resort'-wear. Nevertheless, the graphic prints Tisci has made synonymous with Givenchy are back. For Resort 2014, Tisci used a Brazilian term that roughly summarizes the collection: favelas, which harmonizes the look Tisci so obsesses over: a meld of streetwear and urban youth culture. Though we suspect his active role in the latest Metropolitan Costume Institute's exhibit on punk influences in fashion may have also influenced the looks.
