British designer Matthew Miller proffered a monochromatic collection for FW14 that highlighted his skills with texture in the almost-all black collection. Knits were thick but not bulky while the overall silhouette he showed was rugged and youthful, while the opening look's cape harkened a trend that never really took off in previous season. An excellently crafted hunter green motorcycle jacket was the pièce de résistance as it one of the few colored pieces in the collections.

Though Orlebar Brown is known primarily for his chic swimwear, for FW14, the British label opted for a mix of colorful casualwear and swimwear as well as some smart sportswear.

Hardy Amies' FW14 collection was supremely chic in its take on Savile Row-inspired suiting with modern sensibilities, such as denim! Hardy Amies is the first British company that has showed a collection during LCM's first day with its roots at Savile Row and showed that, though sometimes stuffy, these heritage suiting labels can still wow and amaze with the right team.

TopMan Design is second only to Burberry when it comes to economies of scales at LCM and they showcased their British heritage with a very English collection that felt quite sinister. A subversive thread ran through the collection that included chic outerwear, in varying silhouettes and proportions, all the more to sell to a wide range of men. Unlike other houses like Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent, TopMan does compromise when it comes to the clothes they sell. TopMan, after all, is a fast fashion retailer at the end of the day.
