Tod's, known for their footwear, has struggled to make their ready to wear as covetable as their accessories and that's where Italian designer Andrea Incontri comes it. Incontri's namesake label was known for its quirkiness and while that is subtly seen here with a few off-beat details, this FW19 collection stayed close to the trends with cross body bags, puffers, and the "ugly shoe" trend.

Tod's offered pared back luxury for its SS19 menswear offerings. The label doubled down on its animal-hide offerings with suede safari jackets and of course its famous loafers.

Luxury and a jetset life are two of the cornerstones of Tod's business. These two ideas were highlighted in their FW15 collection like suede quilted coats and exotic-skinned footwear.

It was recently revealed that Andrea Incontri was tapped to be the designer at Tod's, a billion-dollar company whose sales come mostly from its footwear collections. However, the label hopes that Incontri's new role (which actually started last season as on a trial basis) will increase the ready to wear's cache. Indeed, Incontri added a bit of his sensibility with Tod's traditional heritage, with suits in classic Italian cuts and silhouettes while sportswear like a leather blouson was an excellent example of the easy but luxurious clothes he designed.
