After returning to the runway last season, New York-based designer Kenneth Cole was on trend with a sporty-cum-tailoring men's collection that had undertones of 1920s gangsters and modern day men who need to balance work, family and fun. Suits were dressed down by pairing them with hiking boots or with an on-tone hoodie underneath a pinstripe jacket.

It's been thirty years since Kenneth Cole started his house and it's become of the biggest and most recognizable names in fashion. To help kick off NYFW, Cole showed a series of well executed urban warrior menswear for FW13. Hitting on trends like fur and military tailoring, Kenneth Cole thought first and foremost of the city he loves (New York City) and the denizens who populate as the inspiration for the anniversary collection.
